The Jonny Story

Since 1987, Jonny’s at Oak Tree has been serving up crispy chicken tenders, fried peaches, and hometown flavor right in the heart of Duncan. Started by Jon Blalack with a deep love for food and community, Jonny’s quickly became a local favorite—where the “Jonny Meal” wasn’t just a dish, it was a tradition. After Jon’s passing in 1995, his daughter kept that dream alive for 12 more years, making sure every plate still felt like home. In 2007, GayLynn McCormick took the reins, honoring the same recipes and warm, welcoming spirit that made Jonny’s a landmark. And now, nearly four decades later, Bryan and Brandy Peters are stepping in to carry the torch. Through every season of change, one thing stays the same: real food, real people, real community.
